A guided journal that asks back
A blank page waits for you to know what to write. A list of prompts asks everyone the same thing. Ruta does neither: you write what is on your mind, and it asks the one question that follows from what you actually said.
Write, or with Ruta Pro speak your answers. Listen to Ruta's words read aloud. Lock it with Face ID on iPhone, and download everything you have written whenever you like.
What a conversation with Ruta can look like
You want to write about what is on your mind, but you feel stuck before you even begin because you do not know where to start.
What is the very first thought that comes to you when you imagine sitting down to write?
Honestly, my first thought is that whatever I put down is going to sound completely pointless or dramatic. I feel like if I am not writing something wise or fixing my life, I am just whining into the void about work or why people are drifting away. But keeping it all trapped in my head every evening isn't really working either.
You worry that if your words aren't profound or useful, they are nothing more than noise or complaint, so you stay caught between the quiet relief of letting it out and the heavy expectation that it all needs to be fixed or impressive.
If no one else was ever going to read this or judge it, what is the part of your day that you are most tired of carrying in silence?
Self-reflection journal prompts to begin with
- What is taking up the most room in my head this week?
- What did I avoid today, and why?
- What am I grateful for that I would never say out loud?
- What would I do differently if I trusted myself more?
- What do I know now that I did not know a year ago?
What you leave with
When the journey is complete, Ruta writes down what it found: the answer that emerged, the pattern beneath it, the strength you already have, and one next step.
